Interstellar Media ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the Veloce VPN mobile application (the "App") and explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.
By downloading, accessing, or using Veloce VPN, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the App.
Veloce VPN is built on a fundamental commitment to privacy. We maintain a strict No-Log Policy. When you use our VPN service, we DO NOT collect, store, or share your:
Original IP addresses
Browsing history or visited websites
DNS queries
Connection timestamps or session durations
Outgoing traffic data
Because of our strict No-Log Policy, the data we interact with is minimal and strictly limited to what is necessary to maintain the App's functionality, serve advertisements, and handle subscriptions.
In-App Purchases (Subscriptions): Future versions of Veloce VPN will offer premium subscriptions. We do not collect or store your credit card or billing details. All payment processing is securely handled by Google Play Services.
Analytics and Crash Reports: To improve Veloce VPN's performance, we collect anonymized diagnostic and usage data (such as app crash logs and device models) via Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics.
Advertising Data: We use a Google Advertising ID (GAID) to serve ads to free users. This ID does not personally identify you and can be reset or opted out of in your Android device settings.
To provide you with a seamless and secure VPN experience, Veloce VPN requests the following Android permissions. We only request permissions essential for the App’s core functionality:
INTERNET: Required to request user information, load advertisements via our ad network, and establish secure connections to our VPN nodes.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE & CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE: Required to determine your current network status (e.g., Wi-Fi vs. Mobile Data) and allow our VPN core to smoothly manage network routing when your connection switches.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE: Essential for running a continuous foreground service while the VPN is active. This ensures the Android system does not unexpectedly terminate your VPN connection. The "special use" declaration is required by newer Android OS versions specifically for VPN applications.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to display the active VPN connection status in your notification bar and alert you if your data traffic is exhausted. On Android 13 and above, the system will prompt you to grant this permission.
AD_ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID): Required to fetch your device's Google Advertising ID (GAID) to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements via Google AdMob.
INTERNAL_BROADCAST: An internal, signature-level protected permission used solely for secure communication between our App's internal services.
VPN Connection Authorization (VpnService.prepare()): A core Android system mechanism that prompts you with a system-level dialog to confirm and authorize the establishment of a secure VPN tunnel.
BIND_VPN_SERVICE: A system-level permission used exclusively by the Android OS to securely bind and protect the VpnService. This is not requested from the user but is necessary for the VPN to function.
We integrate select third-party services to ensure the App functions reliably and remains free. These third parties have their own Privacy Policies, which we strongly encourage you to review:
Google Play Services: Used for app delivery and In-App Purchases. View Policy
Google AdMob: Used to serve in-app advertisements. View Policy
Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: Used to monitor app stability and anonymized usage metrics. View Policy
Depending on your region, you are protected by specific data protection regulations. As a developer based in Hong Kong, we also comply with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO), alongside global standards:

California, USA (CCPA/CPRA): Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents can request to know what personal data is collected and request deletion. We do not "sell" your personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Virginia, USA (VCDPA): Residents of Virginia have rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act to access, correct, delete, and opt-out of targeted advertising.
Brazil (LGPD): Under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, Brazilian users have the right to access, anonymize, block, or delete unnecessary or excessive data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or global legal requirements. Any modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy, with the "Last Updated" date revised accordingly. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
