Taking your vegetable preparation to the next level
The Veggie Blaster is a new and innovative kitchen tool that will be used to prepare vegetables in an easier and safer manner than traditional cutting and slicing with knife and cutting board. The Veggie Blaster will slice vegetables, ideally in a variety of thicknesses, quickly and with minimal cleanup for easy and care-free use in salads, sandwiches, etc. The user will place whole vegetables into one end of the device and through use of a rotary crank, vegetables will be dispensed from the output at the bottom of the device, sliced and ready for use in a variety of dishes. The cleanup afterward will be simply removing the safe-to-handle insert and the removeable chute for an easy to complete wash.
There are three main problems the Veggie Blaster will solve. The first problem being the safety issues that are associated with the use of a traditional knife and cutting board to slice vegetables for both experienced cooks and beginners. the Veggie Blaster will remove any possibility of slicing oneself while preparing vegetables by keeping the user’s hands far from any blades or pinch points even in the event the user is distracted. The second problem, for disabled persons that may find use of a knife difficult, the Veggie Blaster will provide a more ergonomically friendly alternative to traditional slicing. The third problem to be solved, are the extra movements involved in the preparation of large quantities of vegetables in the Food Service Industry. In every case mentioned above, the Veggie Blaster provides and easier and more ergonomic alternative to the traditional slicing that has the potential to cause repetitive stress injuries with individuals such as industry prep cooks. Not only will the Veggie Blaster ease the issues of traditional vegetable preparation, it will also create a fun environment in the kitchen for all types of users.
