I am a PhD Candidate at the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota.
I will be joining Amazon.com as an Economist starting Fall 2019.
- As a researcher, I am drawn to understanding environmental decision making and choices at the individual level. My expertise is in the areas of applied microeconomics, applying behavioral and experimental insights. I employ experimental approaches, survey tools, contingent valuation methods, choice experiments, large observational datasets as well as collect primary data at national and local levels to answer my research questions.
- I've had many wonderful teaching opportunities and look forward to bringing insights from my approach to teaching in my new position.
- Personally, I love spending time with my family including my dog Kitty and two cats Stout and Timmy (their photos included in personal page - why not?!). I enjoy cooking, trying out new foods & drinks, and good live music. I devour multiple TV shows and movies when time allows. I play the synth, bass guitar, and sing when I have the chance to practice in my home studio. I also enjoy painting and take opportunities to support local arts and stores. I enjoy taking care of my plants but my air plants always seem to die on me.
