I got interested in mathematics as a teenager thanks to the mathematical olympiads and the various outreach activities associated to these competitions. In 2018 I was invited to join the Editorial Board for the official blog of the European Girls' Math Olympiad held in Florence (Italy). The competition is aimed at addressing the underrepresentation of girls in high school math competitions. As a part of my responsibilities, I created the series of posts "Women in Mathematics Beyond Stereotypes". The goal of the series is to present some prominent contemporary female mathematicians, popularize part of their work, debunk some of the classical stereotypes about mathematics, mathematicians and discuss some gender issues.
