In our VCRT program, we are honored to collaborate with Upright Spine, the only black female-founded chiropractic center in South Florida. Through this partnership, our interns have gained invaluable experiences. Under the mentorship of Dr. Williams, we delve into spinal anatomy and diverse patient cases— from athletes with mobility issues to accident victims and mothers with neck strain. Engaging with spine models and posters, we explore conditions like herniated disks across different spinal levels and witness therapeutic treatments like massaging machines and shock therapy for muscle spasms. Comprehensive Vascular Care works with various centers and doctors' offices to treat as many patients as possible. One of these centers is the CIRA Center of Imagine and Research America. Our Spring 2024 Fellows were able to join Dr. Ashby in one of his frequent visits to CIRA where he observes his patients completing diagnostic testing like PET Stress or CAC scans.
