Server Rules

General Server Rules

Be aware, the Congressional Floor may have other rules, this set is for overall server rules.

1. Trolling/toxicity is not allowed; Don't be a troll or be toxic.

2. Sending/Linking any harmful material such as viruses, IP grabbers, or any other "harmware" results in an immediate and permanent ban.

3. Span is not permitted in chats. In addition to this, please attempt to use proper grammar and spelling in your messages.

4. Usage of excessive and extremely inappropriate language is prohibited. Be respectful to everyone.

5. Pinging several members, unless mandated by RP, or approved by the Admins, is prohibited. Do not mass ping, this includes pinging roles that have multiple people under them unless you have permission from the Admins or are legitimately using it for RP (Such as the Press or Committee roles). Refrain from pinging @Admin unless required.

6. Roleplay (RP) is required in all official channels. Main chat (#virtual-congress-chat) is the official "meta" chat of the server. RP is not required but server rules still apply. Roleplay in official government channels is strictly enforced.

7. Post your content in the appropriate channels.

8. You may not post anyone's personal information without their permission. This goes for social media, IPs, addresses, pictures, etc.

9. Listen to the Admins. If you are removed for any reason, you may appeal your ban with an Admin.

10. This server follows the Discord Community Guidelines (https://discordapp.com/guidelines) and the Discord Terms of Service (https://discordapp.com/terms). The Staff Team will respond according to any breech.

11. The Staff Team reserves the right to mute/jail/kick/ban any member committing a serious offense not listed on the rules.

12. Users may not change their nicknames and/or profile pictures to that of or resembling another user's nicknames or pictures. Or generally attempt to impersonate another member. Failure to comply after being notified of the offense will result in removal from the server or other action.

13. Alt accounts are strictly forbidden, punishment will be a ban.

14. Profile pictures depicting radical political ideologies and figures that are commonly used to depict or entice violence are strictly prohibited. Ex: Hitler, Che Guevara, ANTIFA Logo/Flag, Communism/Nazi Symbolism, White Supremacist Logos/Flags, etc.

15. Pestering Admins to take administrative actions such as banning/unbanning members may result in your own removal. Attempting to circumvent punishments including bans, jails, and/or mutes will lead to additional punishment(s).

16. When #venting is being used by another member, please be respectful and use the channel as intended.

17. We are NOT a NSFW-tolerant server. Therefore all content deemed NSFW by Discord Community Guidelines is prohibited.

18. Explicit racism, homophobia, or any other type of discrimination in regards to another member or a person in real life, designed to insult, ridicule, ostracize, or mock is prohibited.
