Research
Global Increase in viral diseases caused by arbovirus demands work towards understanding the cause leading to the spread and developing effective vaccines to reduce the disease burden and healthcare expenditure. Our research team focusses on developing effective vaccines against such viral diseases. We use a multifaceted approach to design the vaccine candidates.
The journey begins by -
Structural optimization of the viral envelope by in-silico methods and in-vitro tools.
Analyze the immune responses in infected individuals to identify immune factors that render protection against the viral pathogen.
Identify regions on the viral envelope which are likely to change in presence of immune pressure.
Our team analyses the above results and designs vaccine candidates which are likely to elicit desirable immune responses in the host and protect when challenged with the virus.
