Ø The vaccines that are currently used in local and national vaccination drives are granted with Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are considered safe and effective.
Ø Aside from following minimum public health standards like washing hands, social distancing, and wearing face masks, getting COVID-19 vaccine is a way to protect yourself from the severe effects of COVID-19.
Ø The side effects depend on the person who got the vaccine or to the vaccine itself. The most common side effects include:
a. Tiredness(fatigue)
b. Pain, warm, or itching where the injection is given
c. Headache or dizziness
d. Joint pain/muscle ache
e. chills
These side effects are short-term and may last in a short period of time. When experienced side effects, report to the doctor, nurse, or to your local health center.
