The VAWQP seeks to provide all Partners’ staff opportunities to advance their skills and knowledge regardless of where or by whom training is offered, increase shared and consistent expertise across Partners’ staff, and increase awareness of the “ecosystem” of work that the Partners provide on agriculture and water quality.
It takes a strong alliance of dedicated entities to address all the issues associated with Lake Champlain’s and Vermont’s waters impaired water quality. Each organization involved in the Partnership offers unique and effective resources, funding mechanisms, technical experts, and outreach techniques. No one agency is going to fix Vermont’s water quality problems. Each partner contributes skills, knowledge, and services that help private landowners in Vermont achieve measurable water quality and wildlife habitat improvements in the most efficient, cost-effective way.
