Welcome! This orientation program was developed by partnership staff for partnership staff. We hope you can take the time to complete the entire program within your first few months of your new position and we guarantee this information will help you navigate the world we all work in! Our goals for this orientation program are to:
Participants will have a greater comprehension of the history, mission, goals, and function of the partnership, including familiarity with the strategic plan and how their work impacts the overarching goals. They will also learn more about each partnership member organization and what unique services those entities offer to the partnership and to the customers we serve.
The training will open pathways for employees to share resources, learn about funding opportunities, and make connections with technical experts across the partnership to enhance conservation impacts.
Employees will gain knowledge about the role of the leadership/steering committee members and the key roles and responsibilities of staff members across the partnership and how the different entities interact. As a result, employees will make connections with others that align with their specific job function and build a professional peer network.
This engaging training forum encourages employees to embark on a self-guided journey that fosters continuous knowledge-building, problem solving skills, goal achievement, and relationship building.
You will start your journey by learning about the Vermont Agricultural Water Quality Partnership as well as agriculture and water quality in Vermont. Then you will learn more about each member organization and their programs.
