Project Name: Wildfires and Municipal Bond Trading
The course covered buy- and sell-side strategies utilized in M&A, the history of merger waves, the legal framework of M&A deals, as well as various valuation methods, including trading comps, discounted cash flow (DCF), and leveraged buyout (LBO) models. Additional topics covered included the use of leverage in M&A deals and bankruptcy.

The course covered a range of fundamental finance topics, including the time value of money, basic stock and bond valuation, capital budgeting, and the weighted-average cost of capital. The course was primarily taught to non-business majors.

The course focused on quantitative tools for fixed income valuation and default risk estimation and their applications. The course also covered fundamental topics, such as the Treasury markets and their functions, the Federal Reserve, repurchase agreements, credit ratings, municipal bond markets, as well as corporate and municipal bankruptcies.
