Help Ukraine:

• ''Povernys' zhyvym'' (Return Alive) Foundation collects donations for the needs of AFU. You can donate specifically for first aid kits and/or body armour if you do not feel comfortable with donating for the weapon. 

• Koridor helps Ukrainian refugees, primarily in the Czech Republic, as well as those staying in Ukraine. I personally know people who are related to this project and completely trust them.

• A foundation organised by Rav Auzmann, the chief rabbi of Ukraine, in support of displaced people from occupied territories. 

Help Russia:

• OVD-Info, an independent human rights defence and media group, is a fantastic organisation that fights for the rights of political prisoners in Russia and supports them. They need donations.

• ''Idite Lesom'' (Get Lost) Foundation helps young Russian men to flee from the military draft and Russian soldiers to desert or surrender to Ukraine, providing legal, financial and psychological help. You can donate them as well.

Azat: 

Azat Mitfakhov, a bright young Russian mathematician of Tatar descent, was arrested in February 2019 and later sentenced to six years in prison for a hooligan act with almost zero evidence of him committing it.  The real reason was his anarchist and anti-Putinist views. Azat was a PhD student at Moscow State University at the moment.  Despite imprisonment, he continued mathematical research and wrote two papers while in custody (1, 2). In 2024, without being released, he was sentenced to 4 more years of imprisonment for a sceptical remark on the current political situation made in a conversation with a cellmate.
