The main objective of this Special Issue is to highlight the importance of renewable energy efficient systems. The main focus has been given to novel technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, for the optimization of renewable energy systems. Present Special Issue covers the integration of various advance energy storage technologies of renewable energy for sustainable development.

A low carbon footprint and sustainable development for a green environment are the most talked about areas in the past years. The issues of climate change and renewable energy are closely related which poses major global concerns and results in global warming. Low carbon footprint technologies, renewable energy, solar energy, green hydrogen, and life cycle assessment are the hot research areas for the sustainable development of society.
The present issue is focusing on renewable energy technologies with the topics of Energy efficiency, green electrification along with decarbonizing fuel technologies for net zero emissions. Green hydrogen will be the key topic in view of the need for a transformative move toward green electricity with a focus on low-cost solutions.
