PAST WORK
This was a Nike Shoe Project that I worked on back in high school, we had to pick 4 different shoes and customize them with different themes. I went and picked the Avengers or Marvel. I was very proud of how this fully came out and was a really fun project as a whole.
This was a Japanese Monument painting that is fully made with different colors, shapes, and brush types. I do not remember how long this took me, but it was a long time, and I never fully finished it, I was very happy with how the Monument came out.
ALTERED IMAGES
When going into this project, it was something that I found myself very interested in. Coming up with ideas was not very hard, but the creativity part made me think a little. So I remember the place where I am from, New York City it would be an amazing place since so many tourists and many different people around the world come to a place, and see the amazing colored environment. Then I searched around for different city scenes, one of the skyline, one from the ground, and one from the Manhattan Bridge. And then I went to work, with the first image all I did was put a slight film grain, and put New York behind the building to make it pop. The second image is just also a filter and a warp tool around it. And the last one is a mix of both images, I put this old fashion look, and put City to finish off the New York City title. Then last but not least put them all together, and put a drop shadow around the images to give this fuzzy look to top it all off. This was a fun and creative project that made me think out of the box a little.
The beach scene was a very creative project, we had to deal with a few items and put together a beach scene that looked real. Then after doing all of that put together a social media mock-up where we had to make it like we had posted these pictures to Instagram, or any social media app. I chose Instagram for mine. This project had us think outside the box and get an idea of what to do with a setting where we were only given a few items.
When doing the Netflix poster we were given a few pictures to work with, an astronaut, the moon, earth, a crow, clouds, and the Netflix logo. We all had to work around these objects to make a poster of our own. When doing my poster just thought about what would work very well with the space environment, so I just thought that the astronaut and the planets would go very well. I put them all together and this was the final product, put a little bit of layer masking with it and we got our Netflix poster.
The layer mask assignment was taught in class, and the pictures were finished in class. The first one was the invention, this was the one where we were first introduced to layer masks. The others were on our own, we got to do one by ourselves, and another one about a galaxy which was very fun to do. As well I did a Batman-inspired one, in which I found images, and put together this whole Batman Dark Knight Rises poster.
Final PhotoShop Project
When working with the hero project it was quite something to think about. We had to pick a person that has done something for a community, or a lot of people. I couldn't think of many many celebrities, but there was one person that I remember who started a foundation to help kids, and adults out. And that was none other than Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee has always played a big part in my life from his movies, and his teachings. All of that has always connected to me since I was a little kid, as well everyone in my family are huge Bruce Lee fan.
So I picked him for my project. When working on this project I used some scenes from his movies, like Enter the Dragon and Fist of Fury. From there I looked up some of his posters that were used for the movies and got inspiration from that. As well, I wanted to make the poster this retro, vintage, and Chinese painting. I added pictures, and little Chinese paintings to get the result of the final poster. I was very happy with the final result, and this project as a whole. I hope a lot of people like the final as well as I have.
Foundation
The Bruce Lee Foundation was founded in 2002 and helps kids and adults with going through the three pillars, Youth Mental Wellness, One family, and Legacy. It also follows the encouragement of honest self-expression with mind, body, and spirit. They help out with financial assistance for students who are attending college, with educational programs, and run a camp that goes and practices Bruce Lee's teachings. And the Bruce Lee Foundation raises money for the Stop Asian Hate organization, which they also control.
