Teaching

My main teaching interests are for the large introductory chemistry courses that are commonly referred to as "gatekeeper" courses. My goal is to cultivate an environment in these courses where all students can learn and succeed. In addition to teaching in the General Chemistry sequence, I have expertise in analytical chemistry and an interest in environmental chemistry and will teach some in the upper-level analytical chemistry courses. I also lead the Peer Learning Assistants (PLA) program for the introductory chemistry courses here at Drake.
