This page outlines a few important steps to take when installing and uninstalling the Vanilla Star Wars data pack.
When first applying the data pack to a singleplayer world, the world must be closed and reopened in order for the data pack to function; simply using /reload will not work. Similarly, servers must be restarted when first installing the data pack.
This step does not need to be repeated with subsequent reloads.
Prior to deleting the data pack from a world, use /function vsw:uninstall to uninstall it. This will delete any scoreboard objectives created by the data pack.
Ensure that no thrown lightsabers or blaster bolts exist in the world prior to uninstallation, as these will be left behind otherwise. Any items native to the data pack will remain, but will no longer be functional.
It is a good idea to properly uninstall the data pack prior to updating to a newer version, as certain scoreboard objectives may be renamed or removed from version to version.
