About Me

I'm Vani Nagarajan, a 5th-year PhD student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Purdue University, advised by Prof. Milind Kulkarni. I'm a part of the Purdue Programming Languages Group (PurPL).

I'm broadly interested in GPU programming, high performance computing and compilers. My research is focused on using GPUs to accelerate irregular applications. I'm particularly interested in leverage Ray Tracing (RT) cores in GPUs to accelerate general purpose computations. I hope to create a GPGPU-like revolution by exposing the programmability of RT cores!

Before joining Purdue, I received my Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy in Chennai, India.

I also enjoy dancing Bharathanatyam (South Indian Classical dance), singing all genres of music (I'm an active member of ICMAP) and reading murder mystery novels!
