Indian Classical Music Association of Purdue

Welcome to ICMAP!

ICMAP is a non-profit student organization founded in 1989 that is dedicated to the enrichment of Indian classical music within Purdue, West Lafayette, and the Greater Lafayette community. Our mission is to share and celebrate the  beautiful tapestry of Hindustani and Carnatic music with diverse audiences, including undergraduates, graduates, faculty members of Purdue University, and the residents of West Lafayette and Lafayette. Our endeavors are made possible by the generous support of the Student Organization Grant Allocation Board (SOGA) and our devoted ICMAP patrons.

Through our curated series of concerts featuring accomplished Hindustani and Carnatic music professionals, we aspire to bring the magic of these musical traditions to life. We also take pride in offering a platform for Purdue's own students to nurture their talents, fostering growth through student performances and vibrant open-mic nights. In collaboration with Purdue University's Music Department, we extend our reach by organizing enlightening lecture demonstrations, where skilled musicians delve into various facets of Indian classical music.
