WHY A HONG KONG FAIR? 點解要搞香港人市集?

The purpose is simple. We want to promote and preserve the Hong Kong culture. Also, Canada’s Asian Heritage Month is the best time to hold a fair for Hong Kong culture.

目的好簡單，就係想推廣香港文化，亦都唔想錯過喺加拿大嘅亞洲文化遺產月呢個咁好嘅時機。

We started planning as soon as the COVID restrictions were lifted in February 2022.
當政府喺2022年二月宣佈解除新冠肺炎限制之後，我哋就即刻著手開始籌備是次市集。

Free for attendees! Free for vendors!
公眾入場: 免費! 租場費用: 免費!

Given our goals for Hong Kong cultural preservation, we do not wish to charge vendors fees nor admission for attendees.
鑑於我哋嘅目標係推廣香港文化，我哋唔希望向大家收取任何費用或入場費，以己之力盡可能擴大受眾範圍。

About HK House 關於香港屋

We’re HK House – a volunteer collective of Hong Kong diaspora and friends from Vancouver. Our mission is to actively support and enhance Hong Kong culture in Vancouver through cultivating a community of Hong Kong diaspora and friends. In the past, we’ve hosted community events, such as lantern making workshops, neighbourhood cleanups, hand sanitizer drives, Hong Konger parties and scavenger hunts. We look forward to building a community together with all of you!

香港屋係一班溫哥華港人同本地朋友組成嘅義工團體。我哋嘅使命係建立一個由香港僑民及其朋友組成嘅社區，積極守護同提高溫哥華嘅香港文化。我哋早前舉辦過好多精彩嘅社區活動，例如野餐、消毒酒精捐贈會、社區清潔運動、燈籠製作坊、電影放映會，仲有香港人派對同埋其他社群活動。
