An education-specific learning resource center serving the faculty and students with educational resources, including books, journals, teaching resources, and hands-on learning materials. The Learning Resource Center maintains a collection of textbooks, students’ best works display, and learning manipulative materials from Grades 7-12.
The textbooks and other teaching resources are especially useful for designing lesson plans. The collection contains teacher and student editions as well as supplemental materials. Subjects covered range from Social Studies and Science to Music and Foreign Language. The textbook collection is organized and shelved separately from our other collections.
The Learning Resource Center has resources available for check out and for on-site use, depending on the material. The LRC also offers computer resources, both tablets and PC, printer, and photocopying service for student and faculty use.
The Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science Learning Resource Center (ValMaSci LRC) is dedicated to shaping the future of aspiring mathematicians and scientists by providing them with the knowledge, support, and resources needed to excel academically and make meaningful contributions to the fields of mathematics and science. It is a place where curiosity is nurtured, minds are expanded, and the foundations for scientific breakthroughs are laid.
Vision
The ValMaSci Library aims to provide adaptive learning resource systems, fully functioning at the school level, effectively developing and distributing adequate and varied learning resources to teachers and learners.
Mission
To be a pioneering and progressive hub of knowledge, promoting a lifelong love for learning, intellectual curiosity, and innovative thinking among ValMaSci students. To produce modified and enhanced instructional learning materials; to provide adequate learning environment and quality user-centered information services that enhance excellent education, research and community service. To provide resources, services, programs, and facilities in support of the learning needs of the students of Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science.
Objectives
1. To acquire books and other library materials that will meet the needs and interest of the users.
2. To serve as depository of knowledge to guide users in their library needs.
3. To encourage lifelong education through the use of various library resources.
4. To give an avenue to an endless opportunity, a wide open door to greater intellectual growth of the readers/users.
