The VU U20 Open Division program was launched in 2017 to compete on a national stage at the Youth Club Championships.  VU returned to YCCs in 2018 and 2019, improving each year.  VU paused programming in 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic, but returned to the field with local activity in 2021 and 2022.  

In 2023, we continued to engage more deeply with our community by partnering with our local Open team, Sprout.  While we did not return to YCC's in 2023, we continued to develop a strong local and regional program, competing in the 1st annual Northeastern Youth Club Tournament in Granby, MA. 

In 2024 & 2025, we focused on local and regional competition.

In 2026 we will again stay local/regional (playing at Northeasterns and perhaps an additional late-summer or early-fall tournament).

Sprout is an Open Division club team based in Amherst, MA featuring some of the top talent in the division.  Sprout was founded in 2019 and qualified for Club Nationals in 2021. Contact Ben Ayres if you are interested in more information.
