Valley Lake Club is here for the enjoyment of our members and their guests. That said, the safety of our members and their guests is our number one concern.
The following rules were put in place to ensure that everyone can both enjoy and respect the club property and members and guests.

The Lake and surrounding property is for use by members and their guests only.
All swimming and boating is at your own risk. No diving allowed and there are no lifeguards on duty.
An adult must accompany children under 12 years of age on lake property and supervise swimmers and boaters less than 12 years of age.
Non-swimmers and children less than 13 years of age must wear life preservers while riding in a boat.
Gasoline-powered boats are not allowed. Boats must be secured when not in use.
No motorized vehicles allowed past the Valley Lake Drive entrance without permission from a member of the Maintenance Committee.
Boating is permitted at boater’s own risk.
Please refrain from feeding wildlife while on the property. Please see this link on the hazards of feeding wildlife.
The current policy regarding fishing in Valley Lake Club is “catch & release."
Membership is limited to those who live in Wake County and share an interest in the purpose of the club and approved by the Board of Directors.
Membership is valid for one year with the purchase of an annual membership ($100 effective March 2024).
Firearms are prohibited on property.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on property.
Lake property closes 30 minutes after sundown.
