The College of Education is pleased to work with Valley View CUSD 365U to offer reduced tuition for select graduate courses offered through the REAL program. Valley View educators can enroll in graduate-level courses for Bilingual Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) at a reduced tuition rate.

1. District or school issued email must be provided during the registration process to confirm eligibility.

2. Current tuition rate for designated Valley View School District course sections is $210* per credit hour.  

3. Courses offered through the REAL program (prefix EEND, REAL, RECT, REND) are not eligible for federal financial assistance.

4. Courses taken outside Valley View CUSD 365U designated sections are billed at standard university program tuition rates.

*Tuition is subject to university increases.

• Complete an endorsement application through your ISBE Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) account.   Click here for a helpful how-to video.

• When the endorsement application is reviewed by ISBE an email notification from noreplylicensure@isbe.net  will be sent to the email account associated with the ELIS account. Ensure the email address associated with the ELIS account is current. 

• • The ISBE application notification will identify any missing endorsement coursework and/or testing.  

  • If the deficiencies are completed within the application expiration date, no additional fees will be required to earn the endorsement.  

  • If the deficiencies are not completed within the application expiration date, an additional endorsement application will need to be submitted.

3.  Educators can check the application status by viewing details in the ELIS account.  More details about this process can be found on the ISBE License Status page.

ISBE subsequent endorsements and current requirements can be found on the ISBE website.  For additional information and endorsement application assistance, please contact a local Regional Office of Education (ROE).

1. Partner course sections are filled on a first-to-register basis. Availability is not guaranteed.

2. Payment in full is due at the time of registration.

3. Registration works best from a PC or laptop as varied mobile device settings cause issues for some.

4. Confirmation and subsequent communications occasionally get tangled in firewalls and placed in SPAM or junk folders. Be sure to take a look if you find you have not received confirmation of enrollment within three (3) business days of submitting your course registration.

Did you know that educators can roll up to 18 hours of graduate credit earned through REAL at the University of St. Francis into the M.S. Reading and M.S. Teaching & Learning programs. 

• Application and admission to the university is required. 

• Standard tuition rates apply for all core courses within the M.S. degree programs.
