We love the following definitions of Harm Reduction:
"Harm reduction is a set of practical strategies and ideas aimed at reducing negative consequences associated with drug use. Harm Reduction is also a movement for social justice built on a belief in, and respect for, the rights of people who use drugs." (National Harm Reduction Coalition)
"Harm reduction refers to policies, programmes and practices that aim to minimise the negative health, social and legal impacts associated with drug use, drug policies and drug laws.
Harm reduction is grounded in justice and human rights. It focuses on positive change and on working with people without judgement, coercion, discrimination, or requiring that people stop using drugs as a precondition of support." (Harm Reduction International)

Fentanyl and other opioids have been found in other drugs, including MDMA and Cocaine. Even if you are using a Fentanyl test strip to check your drugs, there is still a chance of unexpected overdose or drug poisoning since test strips are not 100% effective. Plus, carrying Naloxone is not just for your benefit, it is also for the safety of others around you who could possibly help in an emergency situation.
