Server settings
Valkir Isles has chosen for settings that are generally more desirable for wurm veterans. The creature rate and the hostility of these creatures is higher than you might find on other servers. The next notable setting is that we enabled the cost for founding a settlement and the monthly upkeep. This will aid to retain the value of silver. Fear not, as there are several ways to make silver in game. To generate income a player can do the following: kill mobs for a bounty, burn corpses and treasure hunting. Due to the abundance of (relatively) flat land and the convenience of the better farming mod, we have decided on field growth timers of 24 hours.

Mod summary
Mods have been chosen to add comfort of life, without making entire professions obsolete. Details can be found in mods.
Priests have no limitations, but each have their own spell list. Spell cost is capped at 100 favor.
No waiting time between faith gains, but max five a day.
5 new spells are added => 4 for jewelry and 1 for pickaxes (See spellcraft mod details).
Meditation has no waiting time between actions, can be done on the same tile and time between questions is divided by 4.
Dirt from terraforming can be put in, and used from a vehicle.
Bulk storage containers and Crates can be toggled to sort items by quality.
Exchange your animals into a token for easy transport.
Rift mobs spawn all over the world, up to a certain amount.
Hot items don't need to cool down before it can be put in a bulk storage container.
Crops don't rot.
At certain skill levels for farming and gardening, you unlock several options to perform farming/gardening related actions in a range (see betterfarming mod details).
Sacrificing rare items can yield a rare bone.
Building and bridge skill requirements are halved.
Bounties will be added to your bank account for killing mobs.
Money and karma will be granted when you burn a corpse.
Treasure maps can be found from various jobs and can be read with a compass. Treasures give sleep powder, money and various random rewards (see treasure hunting mod details).
Food affinities are defined when it is cooked by the chef, and are the same for anyone eating it.
