I believe every student should be taught what it means to be brave both in school and in their community.

At my campus, this means:

• We cultivate courage in students.

• It’s OK to make mistakes.

• We grow when we learn from our mistakes.

• We take risks.

• We try new things (strategies, ideas, technology, etc.).

• Adults model what it looks like to learn from mistakes.

• Adults model risk-taking.

• We celebrate acts of academic, behavioral, and social/emotional bravery.
