brav·er·y - courageous behavior or character.
I believe every student should be taught what it means to be brave both in school and in their community.
At my campus, this means:
We cultivate courage in students.
It’s OK to make mistakes.
We grow when we learn from our mistakes.
We take risks.
We try new things (strategies, ideas, technology, etc.).
Adults model what it looks like to learn from mistakes.
Adults model risk-taking.
We celebrate acts of academic, behavioral, and social/emotional bravery.
