Career

Business Teacher (noun) 1. Same as a normal teacher just much cooler.

My educational career began in 2005, marking the start of a deeply fulfilling journey within the higher education sector. This initial phase laid the foundation for my understanding of the intricacies of educational systems and the profound impact they have on shaping futures. As I transitioned into the K-12 public education sector in 2014, I found my new professional home within the School City of Hobart, specifically at Hobart High School. This move opened a new chapter in my career, allowing me to engage directly with a diverse array of educational professionals and community leaders.

Throughout my years at Hobart High School, I've had the opportunity to work alongside an inspiring group of Guidance Counselors, Administrators, Superintendents, School Board Members, and Community Leaders. These collaborations have enriched my perspective on education and community involvement, underscoring the importance of a united effort in fostering educational success.

My roles within the corporation have been both varied and enriching. Starting as a college and career advisor, I helped students navigate the complex paths toward their future careers and higher education aspirations. As a world of work coordinator, I bridged the gap between academic learning and real-world application, providing students with valuable insights into the workforce. Transitioning to a counselor role, I offered support and guidance, helping students overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. Currently, as a business teacher, I have the privilege of sharing my passion for business and management, preparing students for the dynamic world of business with practical skills and knowledge.

The classroom has always been my favorite place to be. It's more than just a job; it's a calling. The opportunity to lead and inspire our youth, to witness their growth and transformation into the best versions of themselves, is an honor I cherish deeply. Every day presents a new chance to make a difference in their lives, guiding them towards a future filled with promise and potential. My commitment to education is driven by the belief that every student has the capacity for greatness, and it's our privilege as educators to help them unlock it.
