Results - Here are some amazing facts about this years CARES-a-thon
Students arrived last Tuesday with fancy red carpet and staff with pom poms kicking off the Fundraiser.
Every student received a new Valentine Hills Spirit T-shirt. Wear them on FRIDAYS!
We raised $52,763 for our school. $3,000 coming from sponsorships from Old National Bank, Lifelong Wealth Advisors and Village Orthodontics - THANK YOU!.
21 (out of 30) classrooms reached 100% of their goal and received new equipment for Extra Recess
12 classrooms reached 120% and will get an virtual field trip and popcorn party
5 classrooms got pedometers to track their steps
5 classrooms got 9 new books for their classroom
All teachers got a donut on Friday for their participation in the CARES-a-thon
Kids got to see Associate Principal Overton dressed up as a princess on Friday!
Mounds View Football team was there last week one morning to give out high fives for reaching our goal early!
Every student had the opportunity to participate in a Fun Day outside with an inflatable obstacle course, bubbles and chalk, a special treat and other fun activities with the help of the specialist teachers.
16 students that registered or donated to the fundraiser won an experience reward with some awesome staff members!
Top 3 classrooms (Henkel, Panning and Smith) will be rewarded with Fancy Lunch or Glow Party of their choice!
Additional 2 classrooms (Parsons and Kratz) that raised over 190% will get an author visit. (shh... kids don't know yet!)
Top Grade (1st grade) will get an K9 presentation with Ramsey County Sheriff Department
And for reaching over 120%.... Principal Rivera will be camping out on the roof some time soon!!

Today students were were welcomed with a red carpet and balloons to get excited for the CARES-a-thon Fundraiser! The PTO has created a fun and engaging way for students to learn about Cooperation and help raise money for Valentine Hills.

Valentine Hills PTO will be kicking off our 2nd annual CARES-a-thon Fundraiser on SEPTEMBER 26th! Over the course of 2 weeks your child will be learning the importance of COOPERATION (the C in C.A.R.E.S.) Students will then ask their families, neighbors, and friends to SHOW THEY CARE by donating to the Valentine Hills PTO. There is nothing to sell and no activities to complete.

The Valentine Hills PTO is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization run by volunteers. We raise funds to help enrich the learning experience for ALL Valentine Hills students.

Where your Donations Go
This year our goal is $40,000 and we need YOUR HELP. All schools receive money from the district, however the PTO raises money to help bridge the gap between the available resources and what teachers/staff and students need to thrive.
The pie chart shows where the PTO has funds budgeted for the 2023/24 school year. We analyze this in May and are always open to suggestions on how the PTO should best utilized the funds we raise.
Below is a breakout of how PTO funds were used in the 2022/23 school year. Full financial reports are available upon request.
Collecting Donations
All Donations are tax deductible. Receipts will be sent for donations over $250.
Online donations are a great way to reach distant family and friends. They are secure for you and your donors and efficient for us to track and collect. We are using GetMovin as our online platform to help create an easy and fun way to raise and track donations. Donations collected in the form of cash or check should be placed and sealed into the provided envelope and turned in by Friday 10/7 to ensure they go towards classroom goals.
