Entries Deadline, Limits, & Restrictions
All entries must be entered in Tabroom no later than Friday, February 27th, 2026 at 11:55pm. No exceptions will be made for this deadline. Coaches may drop entries until Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 at 01:00pm. Schools will still owe entry fees and judges for all drops made after this deadline.
Schools are limited to enter a number of entries that is no more than one number above the TCFL's 2025-2026 Allocation for each event. For entry limits for each event, please click on the "Entry Limits" tab on the right side of this tournament's main page.
Registration is limited to students who have competed at a TCFL Open Tournament or Congress during the 2025-2026 Season. Coaches must submit the list of eligible students via the Qualifier Eligibility Form, which must be completed by Friday, February 13th, 2026 at 11:55pm. Additionally, only schools who were fully registered and paid members of the California High School Speech Association as of Friday, February 6th, 2026 will be permitted to register entries. All entries will be waitlisted until reviewed and approved by a TCFL Officer to verify these requirements.
All entries must have submitted a completed and signed Event Preference Form prior to the start of Round 1. Coaches must e-mail them to TCFL President Brandon Batham at brandonbatham@gmail.com orsubmit the physical forms for all of their students at Registration.
School Fee and Entry Fees
There is a mandatory $50 School Fee for our TCFL Speech State Qualifier, which will be added to each school's balance on Tabroom. Entry fees are $20 for each individual entry, and $40 for each DUO Interpretation entry. Please make checks payable to "Tri-County Forensic League". Alternatively, entry fees may be paid via PayPal. All PayPal payments will be assessed a 4% processing fee.
Judges
Each school is obligated to provide one experienced judge for each four entries or fraction thereof. Judges may cover one or both days, but the judging obligation remains consistent across both days. All judges must be available for the duration of the day that they are entered to judge. A judge who is only available for one day of the tournament will not count as a full judge to cover a school's obligation if there is not a different judge to cover the other day. Schools who do not meet their judging obligation will be required to drop entries until their entry numbers match the judging obligation that they have met.
NOTE: Mrs. Ford is chaperoning the SLC/HOSA trip this weekend. Therefore, if you want to compete at this Nat Qual, your parents will have to be your chaperone & judge. EVERY STUDENT MUST HAVE A PARENT WITH THEM.

COACH REQUIREMENT
The Coach or representative MUST be contact-able throughout the entire tournament in case any issues arise and MUST check in with Tournament Staff. Students must be accompanied by a designated adult who is officially responsible for that student.
If a student is found to be at the tournament with no official adult supervision, that student will be removed from the tournament and sent home.
WHOMEVER you put in charge of your team should have the student emergency medical forms/permission slips/parent contact form for your team. Protect your students, yourself and your "representative."
Student Meal Pre-Orders
Student meals will be available to pre-order no later than Saturday, March 1st, 2026. All student meal pre-orders must be made no later than Wednesday, March 25th, 2026 at 3:00pm. There will be a very limited number of meals available for day-of purchases, so we strongly encourage teams to pre-order their team's meals. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the tournament.
We ask that you please support our host school and strongly discourage your students (or their parents) from leaving campus to purchase food offsite. In addition to being unsupportive of our host, it is also a significant liability issue for coaches and schools to have students wandering off campus during the tournament.
