This Privacy Policy explains how Vahan Service (“we”, “our”, “the app”), developed by Marwadtech, handles information when you use our mobile application on Android and iOS.
By using Vahan Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Vahan Service is a local-first workshop management app. Most data you enter (vehicles, customers, job cards, invoices, photos) is stored on your device, not on our servers.
We do not require account registration or login to use the app.
You may enter or store the following in the app:

Vehicle number, brand, model, fuel type, customer details
Job cards
Services, odometer, fuel level, payments, damage notes
Images
Vehicle photos, dent/scratch images, completion photos
Invoices
Line items, amounts, discounts, paid/balance amounts
This data is used only to provide app features (job cards, invoices, backups) on your device.
On-device storage: Profile, vehicles, and job cards are saved locally on your phone using the app’s internal storage.
Photos: Images you capture or select are saved on your device as part of your workshop records.
Backups: When you create a backup, a secure .vtrack file is saved locally:
Android: Download/VahanService/
iOS: App Documents folder (visible in Files app under Vahan Service)
We do not automatically upload your workshop data to our servers.
The app may request device permissions only for features you use:

You can deny permissions in device settings; some features may not work without them.
We do not sell your personal or business data.
Data may leave your device only when you choose:
Share invoice PDF — via WhatsApp, email, or other apps you select
Share backup file — via share sheet
Contact support — opens WhatsApp with a message you send
Import backup — file you select from your device or cloud storage
We are not responsible for how third-party apps (WhatsApp, email, iCloud, Google Drive, etc.) handle files you share through them.
Backup files use app-specific encryption format (.vtrack).
Keep backup files private; anyone with the file may be able to restore data into the app.
Use a screen lock on your phone to protect workshop data.
No method of storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing your device and backup files.
Data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
Uninstalling the app may remove local data unless you have a backup.
We do not retain copies of your workshop data on our servers.
To delete data: remove vehicles/job cards in the app, or uninstall the app after backing up if needed.
Vahan Service is intended for business use by garage owners and staff. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
