Submission and Registration 

Deadlines

October 15th, 2023 - Deadline for submission of abstracts 

November 3rd, 2023 - Notification of the results 

December 5th,2023 - Deadline for registration and payment by the participants presenting communications 

January 15th 2024 - Deadline for registration and payment by the participants who do not present communication  

Abstracts and Texts of the Communications

The communication proposals will be submitted by presenting an abstract, on an anonymous basis, to the evaluation of at least two members of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, and selected by the Organizing Committee. The proposed abstracts of the communications should not exceed 500 words (excluding references) and should clearly outline objectives and issues, theoretical framework and methods of analysis, data and expected results. They can not mention the author (s), nor his/her/their institution or address.

The subject of the email must be "abstract-communication proposal". The body of the email should contain the following information:

1. Name (s) of the author (s)

2. Institution (s) to which he/she/they belong(s)

3. Title of the Communication

4. Full postal address

5. Email address (email)

6. Telephone and / or fax number

7. Thematic area in which the Communication is preferably registered

The abstracts should be sent in an attachment, preferably in .doc or .docx  format (also in PDF version, if it contains special symbols), to the following official electronic address:

paedagogia.braga@ucp.pt 

The approved communication proposals will be presented publicly during the Conference by the author (or authors) in a period of time corresponding to fifteen minutes (with a further ten minutes of debate).

Early Registration (until December 5th, 2023):

• Participants: 120 Euros

• Teachers of Basic and Secondary Education and participants of the partner entities of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences: 80 Euros

• Graduate students (a): 80 Euros

• CRBr Students: 30 Euros

Registration after December 5th, 2023:

• Participants: 150 Euros

• Teachers of Basic and Secondary Education and participants of the partner entities of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences: 100 Euros

• Graduated students (a): 100 Euros

• CRBr Students: 50 Euros

Notes: 

(a) By means of the presentation of documentary evidence 

(b) This amount includes: certificate of participation and support material (folders, paper, program, book of abstracts, coffee break).

Registration to the Dinner Party (January 19th,  2024): 25 euros

Publication

A selection of the best original texts presented at the Conference will be published after being submitted to an inter pares review (peer review) through a double-blind anonymous system. Those papers should not exceed 8,000 words (including footnotes and bibliography). The texts can be written in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French in .doc or .docx format. The style guide is the 16th Chicago Manual.
