Falcon's Gate, while not an SCA club is affiliated with the SCA, and we participate in SCA combat & activities.  We remain as a campus club and not an SCA club so we can continue to operate at the university and continue to have university students run Falcon's Gate.

That being said, what is the SCA? 

The SCA stands for the Society for Creative Anachronism, and it is a global non-profit organization. An anachronism is something that is out of its time. 

 The SCA breaks different geographical areas into Kingdoms, there are currently 20 kingdoms in the SCA "known world" Further areas of the kingdoms are broken into groups, larger groups are called Baronys and smaller groups are called Shires.

Falcon's Gate is located within the Kingdom of Northshield, which encompasses a large part of the Midwest, including Wisconsin, Minnesota & South Dakota, as well as part of Canada. Falcon's Gate resides inside the Shire of Falcon's Keep, marshals from the Shire of Falcon's Keep come to our fighters practices and we are lent gear by the Shire.
