What is Armored Combat?

Armored combatants wear full suits of armor and fight each other with rattan weapons covered in duct tape. Rattan is similar to wood, but doesn't splinter, and is more durable. Heavy Armor combat can be done in a 1 on 1 setting, or in a melee scenario (both displayed in the videos below). While it looks violent heavy combat is a very safe sport, as long as you wear the right equipment, thats where an SCA Marshal comes in. Marshals make sure that fighters are safe, and wear safe equipment. There are specific armor requirements, that our outlined in the heavy armor handbook, located below.
