Take a look behind our amazing team this semester and those behind our events, socials, merch and the head of council ☺
The Co-Presidents keep PSA Council running smoothly and they make sure PSA is well-represented both within and outside the University. They act as the main links between SoP Administration, faculty, and professionals. They also support the Council, oversee activities, prepare and share meeting agendas, and make sure finances are responsibly managed.
Hi everyone! My name is Joseph, and well... when I was a kid, I wanted to be a clown when I grew up. This was the next best thing, I guess. And if I were to have a day off, I would spend it eating a seafood boil. 🦐🌽
Hi I am Tracy! I found myself interested in urban planning because I've always loved seeing how different spaces can be turned into something that brings people together and fosters connections and communities. I like that planning is about people, and finding the best ways for people to interact and connect with one another. If I had a day entirely off, I would spend the day going to different thrift stores! I loveee finding unique clothing pieces and knick-knacks at the thrift and could easily spend hours looking through the whole store
Secretary and Treasurer
The Secretary's job is to take, type up, and manage the minutes for all PSA meetings. They also keep a detailed record of any past minutes to make sure things run smoothly on the admin side of PSA operations. On top of that, the Secretary usually steps in as the WESEF Representative, making sure PSA’s voice and interests are heard and represented in WESEF discussions.
The Treasurer's main job is to manage PSA's finances and always keep an up-to-date record of all transactions and the overall financial health of PSA. In this role, the Treasurer also works closely with ESS to make sure that everything PSA does aligns with ESS' expectations.
Hi, my name is Ryan. I am interested in urban planning, as it makes me think critically about spaces and how their design shapes people's quality of life. As a profession, this allows me to solve real-world problems of the communities I shape and see my work come to fruition. If I had a completely free day, I would like to spend that time climbing rocks outdoors at Niagara Glen in Ontario or Val-David in Quebec.
My name is Haris, and I got into planning because places are important! And if I had a day off, I would spend it exploring those places!
Ever wonder how we come up with our awesome merch?
Our Merchandise Team comes up with cool designs for PSA's termly merchandise! They're in charge of making sure everything looks great, from concept to final product. From overseeing the design process to managing sales schedules, coordinating sales platform, and handling how merch gets distributed, they have a hand in it all!
Merch Director
My name is Miki, and I became interested in planning because I wanted to understand how cities and communities are shaped. I was drawn to the balance between environmental sustainability, policy, and community development, and I liked that planners have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on people's everyday lives. If I had a day off, I'd probably spend the day exploring a new neighbourhood or city, grabbing coffee, walking around, and seeing how different places are designed and function. I enjoy learning about communities, but I'd also make time to relax and spend time with friends and family.
Merch Coordinator
Hi, I'm Arianne! What got me into planning was my love for design, travel, and cities. Seeing how different places are designed and experienced made me realize how much the built environment influences our daily lives. I wanted a career where I could help shape places that are functional, beautiful, and meaningful for the people who use them. If I had a completely free day, I'd start by grabbing an overpriced iced coffee, then spend some time browsing a bookstore or thrift store. If the weather was nice, I'd meet up with friends for a walk, an arcade trip, or some other random adventure. If I was feeling ambitious, I'd take a day trip to Toronto to explore the city, do some shopping, and try a new restaurant. Then I'd end the day at home binge-watching a good TV show.

Hi! My name is Isabella, and I used to be really into real estate, but I discovered that what I really enjoyed was the inner workings of cities in society. I wanted to focus on how people move and interact with each other in cities, moving me towards planning. If I had a day off, I would spend it at the beach and watching Love Island with my friends.
Socials Manager
Hi! My name is Audrey, and what got me into urban planning was playing Minecraft growing up. And if I had a day off, I would probably spend it sleeping, eating, going on a walk to listen to music and getting a nice bev.
Graphics Designer
My name is Mya, I've always been interested in why some places feel vibrant and connected while others don't. As I learned more about cities, I realized that planning plays a huge role in shaping how people live, travel, and interact with their communities. What attracted me to planning was the opportunity to help create places that are functional, sustainable, and enjoyable for people.

My name is Lysandra! Growing up, I noticed how different neighbourhoods could offer very different experiences depending on things like transit access, parks, and community services. That made me curious about who makes those decisions and how communities develop over time. When I discovered planning, it felt like a field where I could help influence those outcomes in a positive way.

My name is Christian, and I’ve always been fascinated by the way in which the built form around us shapes the way we live. I'm passionate about shaping the built form into walkable, sustainable, and inclusive cities. If I had a day completely off, I would spend it playing piano, hiking, biking, and flying my drone.
Loving our PSA events?
The Events Team helps organize and coordinate PSA members' involvement in all PSA events and within the professional planning community. They take care of running all social events, entertainment and the logistics behind all our amazing events!
Events Director
Hi! My name is Fiona, I found my interest in planning as it brought together many subjects I am passionate about, including sustainability, placemaking, and geography. Since then, I've become fascinated by the ways people interact with urban spaces and how planning can shape communities into better places to live. If I had a day off, I would spend it sleeping in and reading a good book!
Events Coordinator
My name is Meggie! I wanted a career where I could see the impact of my work on people's daily lives. Planning appealed to me because the decisions planners make can shape communities for generations, whether that's through transportation improvements, housing, environmental protection, or public spaces.
Events Coordinator
Hi, my name is Rio! I am interested in urban planning as I come from a depressing environment which I believe contributed to poor mental health. I always found the city to be euphoric. I wanted to study planning and urban design to build environments that contribute to better mental health. If I had a day off with no work to do, I would find some work to do.
Events Coordinator
Hi, my name is Caleb! What got me into urban planning was playing city skylines growing up! And if I were to have a day completely off, I would spend it going biking or skiing.
PSA's Outreach Team serves as the liaison for the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI), Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and PSA. They also represent the PSA at any professional events as needed. These coordinators are active student members of both OPPI and CIP.
Hi everyone! My name is Matthew, and what got me into planning was the idea of how planning brings together many of the values I care so much about—protecting the environment, creating positive impact, and giving back to the community—all within an interdisciplinary profession that matches my various interests! If I could be anywhere, I would choose to spend my day abroad exploring a new city! Otherwise, I would enjoy a relaxing day playing guitar, cooking, canoeing, and reading.
The role of Year Representatives is to be the liaison for PSA members and the undergraduate planning student body. They’ll keep their cohorts in the loop, whether in class or through social media, about any PSA, SoP, and OPPI/CIP events or updates. Plus, they’ll lend a hand with PSA Executive tasks whenever needed. The reps will be selected by their cohort at the start of the term and PSA will have a rep from every undergraduate cohort that's in school for the term.
My name is Hephzibah! I originally became interested in planning because of my passion for environmental sustainability. I wanted a field where I could help balance growth and development with environmental protection. Planning stood out because it combines environmental considerations with real-world decision-making that affects communities every day.
Hi! My name is Jean, and I got into planning through my love for the environment as well as my creativity. If I were to have a day off, I would choose to go out for brunch and then go on a hike outside!
