Co-Presidents
Co-Presidents
The Co-Presidents keep PSA Council running smoothly and they make sure PSA is well-represented both within and outside the University. They act as the main links between SoP Administration, faculty, and professionals. They also support the Council, oversee activities, prepare and share meeting agendas, and make sure finances are responsibly managed.
Hi everyone, my name is Joseph and I am so happy to be your co-pres again!! I'm in my 3A term of Planning and over the summer, I've gained an interest in applying agile methods to the planning world! And no, I'm not talking about agility in sports... but a cool project management framework (Think entrepreneurship meets planning)! Outside of school, you can find me eating malatang, eating Lazeez, or eating Crumbl! So feel free to hit me up if you wanna eat... or dance!!!
Hey! I'm Tracy and I'm super excited to be your one of your copres' this term! You'll often catch me at a thrift store with a full cart, or grabbing a cup of coffee in a cafe. I'm interested in land development, sustainable development and entrepreneurship, but realistically anything in planning intrigues me! If you see me around, feel free to come chat! I look forward seeing you at all of our events this term :)
Secretary and Treasurer
The Secretary's job is to take, type up, and manage the minutes for all PSA meetings. They also keep a detailed record of any past minutes to make sure things run smoothly on the admin side of PSA operations. On top of that, the Secretary usually steps in as the WESEF Representative, making sure PSA’s voice and interests are heard and represented in WESEF discussions.
The Treasurer's main job is to manage PSA's finances and always keep an up-to-date record of all transactions and the overall financial health of PSA. In this role, the Treasurer also works closely with ESS to make sure that everything PSA does aligns with ESS' expectations.
Hi, I am Ryan! In my free time I enjoy spending quality time with my friends, hiking, and rock climbing. My favourite part of planning is working on large-scale projects. I am specializing in urban design and a diploma in GIS, and I am hoping to take a master's in landscape architecture in the future.
Hi! I'm Varisha Jawaid, currently in my 2A term of Planning, and I'm thrilled to be on council this term! I'm passionate about land development and urban design, and I’m excited to contribute to shaping sustainable and inclusive spaces. Outside of Planning, I love exploring new places, trying different cuisines, and spending time with family and friends. Excited for a productive and fun Fall term ahead!

Our Merchandise Team comes up with cool designs for PSA's termly merchandise! They're in charge of making sure everything looks great, from concept to final product. From overseeing the design process to managing sales schedules, coordinating sales platform, and handling how merch gets distributed, they have a hand in it all!

The Marketing Team handles the marketing and promotions for PSA, A.K.A all the content you see on our Instagram page. This includes creating posts and event pages on PSA’s social media. They’ll kick off social media campaigns to boost traffic, promote events that matter to the PSA community, and share helpful content with everyone involved.
Hi! I'm Meggie, I'm in my 3A term, specializing in Urban Design. In my free time I love collecting blind boxes, going to photo booths (my wall in my room is full of them) and cafe hopping for good matcha (I love Ichatea). The Events Team helps organize and coordinate PSA members' involvement in all PSA events and within the professional planning community. They take care of running all social events, entertainment and the logistics behind all our amazing events!
Hi! I'm Geoffe and I'm in my 2A term of Planning. As the Director of Events for this term, I am really excited to work on creating fun and meaningful events for all of the planners on campus! As an aspiring planner, I would love to work on improving the sustainability and accessibility of cities, particularly through improving transit and walkability. In my free time though, you will find me trying (struggling) to learn choreography, hanging out with friends and finding places to visit!

My name is Benedict Cheah, and I’m serving as the Events Coordinator for the Planning Students Association at the University of Waterloo. Professional Outreach Team
Professional Outreach Team
PSA's Outreach Team serves as the liaison for the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI), Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and PSA. They also represent the PSA at any professional events as needed. These coordinators are active student members of both OPPI and CIP.
Hellloooo!! My name is Amaan and I am your Professional Outreach Coordinator (again!). If you know me well enough, the key to my heart is Tims and a Gong Cha iced mango matcha with pearls instead of jelly. I also lovelovelove Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and a lot of K-Pop. I love planning because of the ability to make recommendations that can have positive effects on a person's life outcomes :)

Year Reps
Year Reps
The role of Year Representatives is to be the liaison for PSA members and the undergraduate planning student body. They’ll keep their cohorts in the loop, whether in class or through social media, about any PSA, SoP, and OPPI/CIP events or updates. Plus, they’ll lend a hand with PSA Executive tasks whenever needed. The reps will be selected by their cohort at the start of the term and PSA will have a rep from every undergraduate cohort that's in school for the term.
Hello everyone! My name is Haris and I am currently in my 3A term of Planning. I am excited to be part of PSA and I look forward to this Fall Term. I love spending time at EV3, maybe too much time (!) and I enjoy walking and running outside. Hi! I’m Dunya! I’m the student rep for my cohort, I’m in my 1A term. I got into planning because of my love of design/service, my main hobby is drawing and painting. If I’m not doing that I’m thinking of doing more hobbies I can’t afford. My dream is to help people, while also doing something I enjoy. In 6 years inshallah I hope to have finished my undergrad degree, to still be sane and to hopefully get a minor in some sort of business somehow, preferably marketing.
