Mobility Justice (MJ) is a social framework that acknowledges and examines how identities (e.g. age, race, class, gender) relate to power and systemic inequity, affecting how people move through and experience public space. For example, heightened policing in BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities harmfully limits free movement across all transportation modes. MJ is rooted in the liberation of marginalized communities.
