Thank you to our prospective mentors for your time, passion, and grace. Being a mentor comes with a few responsibilities that will most likely require a couple of hours a week, depending on the number of mentees allotted.
Mentor Roles and Expectations:
As a mentor in the UW Nursing Mentorship Program, you will serve as a guide, role model, and support system for incoming nursing students. Your role includes:
• Providing guidance on navigating the nursing program curriculum and academic challenges
• Sharing your personal experiences and insights from your nursing journey
• Offering encouragement and emotional support during challenging times
• Connecting mentees with resources, networking opportunities, and professional development
• Meeting with your mentee(s) regularly (minimum 1-2 times per month)
• Responding to questions and communications in a timely manner
• Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions

Mentor Registration:

Mentor Response Data:
All mentor registration form responses are automatically collected and stored in our secure Google Sheet database. The mentorship coordination team can access the complete list of mentor applications, review responses, and manage the matching process through the linked spreadsheet.

Note: Access to the response sheet is restricted to authorized program administrators only. All mentor information is kept confidential and used solely for program coordination purposes.
