WELCOME MENTEES! I hope you are eager to begin on choosing a path that feels right for you and please keep in mind the time of our Mentors is valuable and at times rare. Please take the time to fill out this Google form below if you would like to be connected with a mentor.  Inside of the form, there will be a few questions to help the mentors get an idea of the type of nurse you want to be and the field that you would like to be in. 

Mentee Expectations and Responsibilities:

As a mentee in the UW Nursing Mentorship Program, you will be paired with an experienced nursing student or nursing professional who will serve as your guide and support system. Your participation includes:

• Actively engaging in regular meetings with your mentor (minimum 1-2 times per month)

• Coming prepared to meetings with specific questions or topics you'd like to discuss

• Being respectful of your mentor's time and responding to communications promptly

• Maintaining an open mind and willingness to learn from your mentor's experiences

• Taking initiative in scheduling meetings and maintaining contact with your mentor

• Following through on advice and recommendations provided by your mentor

• Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions

• Providing feedback to help improve the mentorship program

Mentee Response Data:

All mentee registration form responses are automatically collected and stored in our secure Google Sheet database. The mentorship coordination team can access the complete list of mentee applications, review responses, and manage the matching process through the linked spreadsheet.

Note: Access to the response sheet is restricted to authorized program administrators only. All mentee information is kept confidential and used solely for program coordination and mentor matching purposes. Subsequent Mentor-Mentee pairing will occur bi-weekly or monthly, depending on time.
