Project Description

The underwater acoustic research lab was established with a essential equipments in the field of underwater acoustic signal processing. The main objective of the project is to establish the Underwater test tank with dimensions of 5m length, 4 m diameter and 2.5 m depth (5x4x2.5) with total water capacity of 52000 litres approximately to test those equipments. This will help in undergoing various researches on coherence analysis study, ambient noise characteristics, animal bioacoustics, absorption and scattering loss pattern modeling and analysis, testing of underwater systems such as Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), Ambient noise measurement system, Buried Object Detection (BOD) etc.
