Hi Readers & Musicians:
Gretchen my wife is an alternative reader in case something goes awry that Jamie and I cannot cover.
My next step is to get a better estimate the length and likely pare it down by removing text or whole slides. It would be helpful if Ashley can tell me how long the Wisdom Lesson will be in minutes or slides. People are welcome to comment in the docs. I'll complete this process early afternoon tomorrow. Once script and slides are finalized, I'll change the title page from DRAFT to FINAL. I plan to print 6 copies at the UUFCC on Sunday Morning.
Musicians - mainly you need to review the ORDER OF SERVICE.
There are four sections with narration:
Opening words (2 slides) - Doug
Wisdom Lesson (Ashley's slides and script) - Ashley
Reflection 1 (A slides, 7)- Doug / Michel recites 2 poems (see note below)
Reflection 2 (B slides,10)- Leslie
Reflection 3 (C slides, 6)- Doug
Bhakti will queue up slides and the narrator will have a mic and slide clicker at the podium.
Rather than only recite the two poems, Michel would be welcome to narrate and advance slides for Reflection 1, which may be better than switching speakers back and forth between narration and poetry.
I will be in the Sanctuary at UUFCC at 8:45 am on Sunday (2/25/24). Speakers should meet at 9:15 am. Music will organize on their own schedule. Bhakti will do a sound check around 9:30 am.
