UUFCC Movie Night: "Cured" a documentary by Bennett Singer & Patrick Sammon (2020)
Saturday, February 3, 2024
7:00-9:00 pm
UUFCC Sanctuary
THE DOCUMENTARY WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY THOUGHT PROVOKING. MANY COMMENTED THAT IT SHOULD BE SEEN BY MORE PEOPLE AT THE FELLOWSHIP. CURRENTLY THE ONLY PLACE WE COULD OBTAIN 'CURED' WAS FROM THE STREAMING SERVICE FROM PENN STATE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY. WATCH WITH A FRIEND THAT HAS PSU LIBRARY PRIVILEGES! Another good historical documentary on this theme is 'Changing Our Minds: The Story of Dr. Evelyn Hooker' (1992). It's available from Amazon Video or Penn State Libraries.
The monthly UUFCC Movie Night for members and friends of UUFCC presents a screening and discussion of this award-winning documentary which examines a pivotal success of the gay rights movement that took place in 1973.

This history will also be featured in the IMAGINE & DREAM worship service on February 25; those participating in this lay led service are especially encouraged to join the screening. Further details on the service will be available via the Lantern Fest Webguide: UUFCC.com/imagine-dream.
