Why Synapse: As a neuroscience major, I joined Synapse to meet other neuroscience students and, of course, learn a bit about the brain. I decided to stick around because I wanted to grow the organization and transform it into something special.
Fun Fact: I am a 2x under-18 national champion in curling.

Why Synapse: I joined because of the various neuroscience perspectives that Synapse introduces members to through guest speaker events with neuroscientists and psychologists. Through social events like game nights and Pizza with Professors, we get to interact with our peers and professors in a casual setting. I really like being part of the Synapse family and love being involved with organizing events with the rest of the officer team!
Fun Fact: I’m colorblind!

Why Synapse: I joined to meet other neuroscience majors and learn from peers and mentors through Pizza with Professors and other events. I aim to transfer the knowledge I have gained to new Synapse members and support each other in this process.
Fun Fact: I am active in my free time and an avid NBA follower.

Why Synapse: I wanted to be part of a network of students who are taking the same classes as me and who have similar interests so that we can support each other during our journeys with Neuroscience. I’m very happy to have joined Synapse!
Fun fact: I love languages! I’m fluent in English and Spanish, I know basic French, and I’m learning German right now.

Why Synapse: I joined because I wanted to meet other neuroscience majors and get an introduction to the various neuroscience professors and other opportunities we have on campus, and I wanted to further my passion for neuroscience. I'm really excited to be involved with Synapse and hope to contribute even more as a member of the officer board!
Fun Fact: I can crack all of my joints on command except for my knuckles.

Why Synapse: I am in Synapse because it was one of the first clubs I saw on campus. When I talked to the officers during my freshman orientation, I could tell they were truly happy to be a part of this organization. Synapse also has been really good at allowing me to take advantage of opportunities to make connections within the neuroscience community.
Fun Fact: I speak 4 languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian!

Why Synapse: I joined Synapse because I wanted to connect with other students interested in neuroscience!

Why Synapse: I joined Synapse to enter a community that introduced me to other Neuroscience majors and professors in the Department of Neuroscience. Additionally, I wanted to contribute to the organization through volunteering events and socials, where I could hang out with other members. I love being a part of Synapse and can not wait for the years ahead with my new friends!
Fun Fact: I'm addicted to music and my Spotify Wrapped was over 200,000 minutes last year!
