Erin Bevilacqua (CNS Representative)
My name is Erin Bevilacuqa, and I'm a fourth year studying ergodic theory and measured group theory. I like to climb, play frisbee & sand volleyball, and explore Austin on my bike. My fourth year has made me a bit of a hermit, but I love getting to know the community so please feel free to reach out or find me in my office on the 13th floor!
Laney Bowden (Secretary)
I am a second year grad student with interests in (applied) algebraic geometry. Before coming to Austin, I worked as a statistician and received my master's from the University of North Carolina. Outside of math, I can be found collecting various hobbies including songwriting, playing soccer, indoor gardening, and playing video/board games. Feel free to reach out at any time or introduce yourself if we haven't had the opportunity to meet!
Isaac Martin (Bookkeeper)
Vita brevis breviter in brevi finietur,
Mors venit velociter quae neminem veretur,
Omnia mors perimit et nulli miseretur.
Ad mortem festinamus peccare desistamus.
Jemma Schroeder (Social Chair)
I'm a first-year grad student (broadly) interested in topology. I enjoy rock climbing, sailing, running, and any/all activities that get me outside and moving. As one of the social chairs, my role is planning department social events, so if you have suggestions or just want to chat please reach out or stop by my office on the 12th floor!
Sai Sivakumars (Social Chair)
I am a first year graduate student, and for now I am broadly interested in algebraic geometry, representation theory, automorphic forms, harmonic & functional analysis, and mathematical physics. Aside from math, I enjoy playing the saxophone and clarinet, playing ultimate frisbee (on our team, SO(2)), joining my friends in outdoor activities, playing all kinds of video games, and going to the local arcade. I am happy to chat or hang out with anyone, for any reason!
Justin Toyota (GSA Rep)
Hi, I'm Justin. I'm a second year grad student who's interested in partial differential equations and harmonic analysis. Outside of math, I like playing the trumpet and tennis. Talk to me if you have any questions about the GSA (Graduate Student Assembly)!
Luisa Velasco (Community Chair)
I’m a third year grad student studying kinetic theory, specifically wave kinetic equations and dispersive equations. Besides doing math, I like to be outside in any capacity, but I especially enjoy running, cycling, and climbing. I also have a habit of getting roped into various IM sports. Please feel free to reach out—I’m happy to chat!
Jayden Wang (Tim Rep)
Hi, I am Jayden, a fourth-year student. I study discrete structures arising from geometry. I enjoy cooking and fermenting stuff. I have a fermentation lab in my house. I spend most of my life in the math lounge. You can talk to me anytime when I am there!
