Zeina’s Café and Catering opened in 2010 to begin serving authentic Lebanese food to the people of Utica, though the Zeina family has been in the area much longer. Owners Albert and Layla Zeina visit Lebanon each year to bring back authentic ingredients and new recipes to provide high-quality food to the people of Utica and beyond. With dining options ranging from in-restaurant seating and takeout to delivery and catering, you can enjoy Zeina’s authentic Lebanese food anywhere.
The café has grown each year since its opening in 2010, and so has its place in the community. Zeina’s now operates multiple restaurants, with plans to open more, providing jobs and cooking classes to people in Utica.
Zeina’s is a welcoming place that inspires people to revisit the restaurant time and time again. As soon as you enter the smell of cooking food greets you, as does the friendly staff. The seating area is large enough to feel comfortable but small enough to create a cozy and relaxed dining experience. Stay long enough and you may even meet Albert Zeina himself, who likes to personally greet his guests and chat with restaurant regulars over Turkish coffee However, you may notice Albert has to quickly leave as he completes the ballooning number of delivery orders they take every day.
After the Covid-19 pandemic emerged in early 2020, Zeina’s responded by offering a delivery option so that they could still safely provide authentic Lebanese food to their Utica community. The community has responded strongly as delivery continues to be a popular option. Because of this, Albert has seen his business grow, despite the varying degrees of Covid lockdown.
