Student National Dental Assoc. was founded in 1972 by 14 dental students who attended the National Dental Assoc. conference in Detroit, Michigan. Our mission is to continuously promote, support, and encourage a promising academic and social environment for minority dental students. We are committed to providing oral hygiene education to all, through our outreach efforts, increasing the presence of minorities within dental school and dental education, as well as improving access to care and the delivery of dental services to all people, especially the underserved.

Our vision at UT is to create a space where underrepresented dental professionals can unite as One UT to collaborate, support each other's academic and professional journeys, and develop meaningful connections that last beyond dental and dental hygiene school. We strive to foster an inclusive environment that sets UT grads up for success and encourage growth within our professional lives. We honor our rich history while continuously working to build upon this legacy each day.

We support tackling health disparities in underserved populations by advocating for a diverse health force.

As an organization, we task ourselves with programs that are aimed to decrease oral health disparities nation wide.

Our aim is to maintain our relationship with NDA, while also fostering mentorship within our organization as well.

We hope that through networking and mentorship that our students and graduates will attain excellence in all areas.
