The Student National Dental Association (SNDA) at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Dentistry is dedicated to promoting multiculturalism in dentistry and providing a supportive network for dental students. Our chapter focuses on fostering academic excellence, leadership development, and community service. We are committed to increasing awareness of oral health disparities and improving access to care for underserved communities through outreach initiatives, mentorship programs, and professional development opportunities.
As part of a national organization, SNDA members at UTHSC participate in various events, including health fairs, community service projects, and educational workshops, while also promoting networking and collaboration with dental professionals. Our mission is to cultivate an inclusive environment that prepares future dental professionals to excel in their careers while advocating for equitable healthcare for all.
Our General Body Meetings occur on the third Thursday of every month at 12 PM. The location will be detailed on the flyer.
Additional events will be advertised on our instagram/Facebook and through GroupMe.
All students are welcome to join the club! We encourage students from all backgrounds to become a part of our SNDA community!
There is a local chapter fee of $50 to cover some of the club's operational expenses, such as event materials and guest speaker fees. National dues are $90. All fees are due in mid-October.
