CU*IP 2026

March 13-15th, 2026

We went to CU*IP hosted in Denver, Colorado! PLSSSS take me back Austin is so chud compared to Denver... It was beautiful and snowing and there was a street that banned Lime scooters. I met a lot of cool queer physics undergrads and learned about advocating for yourself!

Lightning Talks

October 16th, 2025

We hosted our first (of hopefully many) presentation nights! It was my favorite GMiP meeting ever..... There were so many fun presentations from hyperfixations such as Kirby and Beyond the Red Mirror to Australian football. I gave one on slime molds which resulted in a sticker we now have as merch (thanks Erika so honored!!) 

Sardines

September 4th, 2025

For our first meeting of the year, we played Sardines! Our copresidents Ry and Emma were our hiders and chose the Wheeler lecture hall as their hiding spot. Our members scoured the 4th-7th floors in groups, searching for them and slowly joined them in hiding. They were packed together like.........sardines..... However there was a betrayal! They had given me (Ani) a false location for where they would be hiding and when I realized they weren't there, it was too late... I was the last to find them!! (The last picture is me walking into the lecture hall LOL)

Touch Grass Social

We went to the South Lawn, touched grass, played games, and took pictures! So fun (or at least I assume so, I wasn't there 😔)!

CU*IP (Conference for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities)

January 24th-26th, 2025

We went to CU*IP held at the University of Colorado at Boulder to attend panels and workshops and also meet other undergrads and learn about their research! We learned a lot about navigating physics as gender minorities and also general skills such as crafting a resume. We also had fun playing in the snow! (put me back in the snow....)
