If you are interested in attending college (High/Middle School Student) and study under a STEM program, consider being part of UTEP’s Southwest Research Academy on Advanced Modeling & Simulations (M&S)!
“We are here to prepare the next STEM Pipeline of engineers and scientists!”
Dr. Vinod Kumar
If you are interested in being part of this academy, the survey application will be coming up soon!
Why should you join?
We will offer each student in the academy an educational license to ANSYS Workbench, a package with many libraries that include advanced modeling and simulations tools for many fields, such as, fluid dynamics, structural dynamics, system dynamics, and many other fields.
Technical expertise on Mechanical Engineering subjects, especially in the thermal-fluid sciences.
Workshops, Seminars, and Mentoring from our group members.
Workshops on using ANSYS Workbench Libraries, Python Programing, and Theoretical based knowledge on STEM.
Seminars from many colleagues at different universities and national laboratories, such as Princeton University, Brown University, The University of Texas at Austin, Sandia National Laboratories, The John’s Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and Air Force Research Laboratory.
Mentorship from UTEP Faculty and Students, Dr. Vinod Kumar (Associate Professor in MECHE), Arturo Rodriguez (Ph.D. Candidate in MECHE), Jose A. Terrazas (Ph.D. Candidate in MECHE), Richard Adansi (Ph.D. Candidate in MECHE), Julio C. Aguilar (Upper-Level Undergrad in MECHE), Nicholas Dudu (Lower-Level Undergrad in MECHE), and Brandon Paez (Lower-Level Undergrad in MECHE). .
