The Action Day focuses on identifying possible innovative solutions on the current issues of Urban Heat through the innovation challenge. The Challenge will cover the principles of the New Urban Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals to provide implementable urban solutions and overlapping areas such as urban planning, space planning, digitization, water and sanitation, waste management, health infrastructure etc.
The Innovation Challenge focuses on low cost, unique and socially inclusive solutions to tackle the Urban Heat and its effects. This challenge provides a platform for youth and young professionals for encouraging creative ideas and enhancing their participation in tackling with issues of Urban Heat.
The ideas received will be screened based on uniqueness and feasibility. The selected teams will be provided a chance to present their innovations on day two of the campus. Suitable ideas may find resonance with the stakeholders from government, private sector or civil society organizations which can then further be developed and implemented in form of projects.

The submitted proposal will be evaluated by a team of experts and the selected teams will be contacted by our team for presentation in the workshop
The workshop presentation will be judged by a panel of jury representing the organizing committee members.
All the participating teams will get a certificate.

The submission must be in the form of single poster of size “A0” explaining –
1.The concept,
2. What issues under the given themes does the innovation solve?
3. How the innovation helps in solving the urban concerns?
4. The cost for developing and potential for scaling the solution.
TEAM DETAILS & COMPOSITION: Details of the team must be provided which would include the Name, Email id and Contact number of the Group leader along with other details such as age, qualification, occupation, and details of institute/organization they’re studying at/working with. The team may comprise of one or more members however, no member shall be above 40 years of age.
SELECTION OF IDEAS: The ideas may be in the form of digital solutions such as apps and web platforms or proposed/working prototypes, etc. and will be screened based on Uniqueness and feasibility.
CHANCE FOR PRESENTATION: Top 10 ideas will be provided a chance to present their innovations on the second day. The suitable ideas may find resonance with the stakeholders from government, private sector or civil society organizations which can then further be developed and implemented in form of projects.
