Weeknight Meals Under $40
Dear Parents,
In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to let mealtime become just another task to check off the list. But when we take time to gather around the table, not only are we nourishing our bodies, we are also nurturing our relationships and faith. Eating together as a family is a gift—a time to connect, reflect, and share in the blessings God has provided.
The Bible reminds us in Acts 2:46, “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” Sharing meals together isn’t just about food—it’s about fellowship, love, and creating lasting memories that strengthen our bonds.
As Christian parents, we have the beautiful opportunity to use mealtime as a moment to teach our children gratitude, kindness, and the importance of community. It’s a time to pray together, reflect on God's goodness, and celebrate His provision. These moments can also serve as a safe space for your children to ask questions, share their day, and experience the love and unity of the family.
Remember, it’s not about the perfection of the meal but the joy of being together. Whether it’s a simple dinner or a special feast, eating together is an act of love that reflects God’s care for us.
Let’s make the most of this precious time.

Here are some fun and engaging discussion starters for dinner with your family:
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
What’s one thing that made you smile today?
If you could have dinner with any famous person (real or fictional), who would it be?
What’s your dream vacation destination?
If our family had a theme song, what would it be?
What was the best part of your day? What was the hardest part?
Did you learn something new today?
What’s something you’re really proud of this week?
If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
What’s something you’re looking forward to?
If we opened a family restaurant, what would we serve?
If your pet (or a stuffed animal) could talk, what would they say?
If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
What’s the craziest invention you can think of?
If we were in a movie, what genre would it be?

"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."

This verse reminds us that faith involves trusting in the unseen and believing in the promises that lie ahead, much like trusting a recipe to nourish and bring joy to our loved ones.
